The Mill – Mission and Philosophy

Our mission is to empower everyone to be “fit for life,” and thereby able to combat the myriad of daily physical, emotional, and mental stresses. Life is a contact sport, and we believe that being fit for life means a person is ready in mind, balanced in spirit, and prepared in body to tackle life’s random challenges and to experience life to the fullest. As CrossFit athletes, we believe that the fitness requirements of Olympic athletes and tactical warriors differ from our kids, our grandparents, and ourselves by degree — not kind.

What Makes The Mill Different?

Community

Fitness facilities exist in all shapes and sizes, but the community at The Mill is unparalleled. This family loves to have fun both in the Box and out-n-about. Whether its hiking, wineries, biking, breweries, cookouts, or slip-n-slide, we don’t like to stay put. The constant celebrations means there is almost always beer and cake in the fridge. While the average age of our members is 30+, we span all ages from 6 to 16 to 65, and nothing is more motivating then watching them all sweat together.

Staff

We provide the finest coaching staff — period. Our coaches truly care for every member, and The Mill is dedicated to ensuring their continued growth as instructors.

Programming

Many gyms outsource their programming. At The Mill, we are committed to providing the highest quality programming for our members. We plan our WODs months at a time which allows us to establish baselines, plan progressions, and coordinate programming across our ancillary programs. Unlike many fitness centers, our memberships are all inclusive of our different service offerings designed to augment the core CrossFit workout.
